NAB summons Khawaja Asif in assets case on April 9
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has summoned Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former foreign minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif in connection with probe into assets beyond means case on April 9.

Sources said a joint investigation team of the NAB would record Khawaja Asif’s statement. It is the second time the NAB is issuing subpoena to him.

Earlier, the accountability watchdog had summoned Khawaja Asif on April 1. However, he could not turn up for he was abroad.

On April 1, the sources had said the PML-N leader had informed the bureau about his skipping appearance through a letter.

They said Khawaja Asif could not turn up as he was out of the country and was expected to return home on April 3.
