Government has no stance over India: Chaudhry Nisar

Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan
Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that taking oath as member of the Punjab Assembly would mean that he had accepted validity of the last general elections.

The former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz said in a news conference he will soon decide about his political future.

"I stood with a party for 35 years and then moved away from its leadership. The people of my constituency have showed their confidence but the current situation is a bit complex."

Nisar contested the general elections from two NA and two provincial seats, losing all except PA-10 constituency.

He has, however, not taken his oath — his rival has challenged the action in the high court.

He said that every government takes loan but the incumbent one has broken all records.

"The economy is being managed by loans," Nisar said.

The former interior minister said that the government has no stance over India, adding that Nawaz and Imran share same opinion on India and Modi.

"Who can tell the premier that the government doesn’t run on twitter. I am surprised how Imran got to know that oil and gas reserves are present in Pakistan," he said.

"Pakistan is surrounded with issues the country direly needs unity."
